How to Join MFCU
Before You Join, check if you’re within our Common Bond: What’s our common bond?
- The total population of Artane, Ayrfield, Beaumont, Coolock, Donnycarney, Drumcondra, Marino, Raheny, Swords, North William Street, and their immediate surrounding areas.
- Employees of local companies situated within the common bond area of Member First Credit Union.
- Local schools within the common bond area of Member First Credit Union including primary, secondary, and third-level colleges.
- The existing members of Member First Credit Union and their families and friends.

Follow these steps to join online through MFCU Mobile App/Website

Website: Go to ‘Join Us > How to Join> Join Online’ on the website
App: Download MFCU mobile and Click on ‘Join Our Credit Union’ at the bottom of the screen - Enter the requested details regarding your residential and employment status.
- Upload the requested documents.
- You can add a nominee or skip this step. (Members of MFCU can nominate a person to receive their credit union shares up to the sum of €23,000 on their death)
- Finally Read the Terms and Conditions and accept as desired
- Review and Submit
- Your recent snapshot – A passport sized photograph with white/pale background
- A photo ID – Passport or Driving license
- Proof of Address – Bank / Credit Card Statement, Utility Bill, Lease or a Revenue Letter/Documents.
- Proof of PPS – P60 or P45, P21 Balancing Statement, Employer’s Payslip or Medical Card.
How to Transfer Money/ Withdraw money/ Make a Payment

'Make a Payment' Feature allows you to withdraw money, pay bills or transfer money anytime and anywhere
- Log in to your MFCU app.
- Click on the ☰ menu on upper left corner of the app. (as seen in Image 1)
- Click on the 'v' next to Payments.
- Select ‘Make a Payment from the list
- If you’re transferring money within MFCU or making a loan payment, choose ‘Pay someone or ‘Loan in Your Credit Union’
- Choose between a Once off or Regular Payments (If you want to make recurring payments use the ‘Regular Payment’ option to choose between weekly, monthly or fortnightly payment)
- Fill the rest of the details and click confirm.
- And you're all set!

How to Add a Payee

Save a Payee for bills or transactions to make future payments quick and effortless
- Log in to your MFCU app.
- Click on the ☰ menu on upper left corner of the app. (as seen in Image 1).
- Click on the 'v' next to Payments.
- Select ‘Create a Payee’ from the list (Image 2).
- Read the information under ‘Set up a new Payee’ and click Next (Image 3).
- Choose Category of Payment between ‘Personal Payment’ or ‘Bill Payment (Image 4)
- After entering the details, click Next.
- Confirm the Set Up with your password.
- And you're all set!
