Mortgage Arrears Resolution Process

Our Mortgage Arrears Resolution Process (MARP) has been introduced to help our members who have a Home Loan with us, and are currently experiencing difficulties with these repayments, or are worried that they may have difficulty in the near future.

Tips for Managing Debt

✓ Maximise income: explore ways of increasing your household income

✓ Review Payment Protection policy terms (if you have any): these could help cover your outstanding payments

✓ Review other protection policy terms: these may include life/mortgage protection or critical illness protection

✓ Assess your spending: try to cut back on unneccessary purchases, shop around for bargains on essential items, and keep a diary of your spending. You can also manage your account with us online which may help you keep track of your spending more efficiently. Sites like www.seai.ie can also give tips for saving on energy bills.

✓ Budget planning: write down your income and outgoings and review where you can afford to spend, and where you need to cut back. This can be a difficult task but it’s an effective way to clear your arrears with a consistent budget allocation.
