MFCU Money Matters: our first ever Podcast

MFCU Money Matters podcast is now live

Let’s be honest for a second. Major money decisions are rarely neat and tidy. They’re the late-night talks at the kitchen table, the source of real stress and worry, and can sometimes feel overwhelming. We see it happen all the time with our members. For that reason, we wanted to create something that captures the real stories of people who have walked the same path. Today, we are thrilled to officially announce our new podcast, MFCU Money Matters.

What is MFCU Money Matters?

MFCU Money Matters is our new space for real conversations about how people manage money, and their financial milestones. Each month, we will sit down with our staff, partners, and our valued members for honest, heart-to-heart chats about the challenges and successes that shape our financial lives. There is no stuffy language or sales pitches. Instead, you’ll find authentic stories from people right here in our community.

Meet the Host of MFCU Money Matters

To guide these conversations, we needed someone who truly understands the member experience. Ultimately, we realised the perfect person was a voice you already know well.

Michelle Brady, Finance Officer at Member First Credit Union and the host of MFCU Money Matters Podcast

We are so pleased to introduce Michelle Brady as the host of MFCU Money Matters. While many of you will recognise her as the automated voice on our member service line, Michelle is a cornerstone of our team and a real person with a remarkable story.

In fact, she has been with Member First for over 17 years, starting at the front desk and growing into her role as our Finance Officer. As a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA), she has the expertise. More importantly, she has years of experience sitting down with members and asking the right questions to better serve them.

Episode 1: Money, Mess, and a Mortgage: How Michelle Made It Work

Our first episode focuses on Michelle’s own mortgage journey.

In this episode, Michelle shares how she bought her first home in her early 30s. It truly is an inspiring story about navigating the process, and consequently, we can’t wait for you to listen.

We created this podcast to share valuable, real-life stories with our members. If you find the episode helpful, the best way to support the show is by sharing it with your friends and family. Furthermore, we hope it inspires everyone, especially younger people, to feel empowered and set clear milestones for themselves.
