Marino Branch Update

Every year MFCU undertakes a full review of all our branches in order to ensure that the needs of the members are being met. In recent years we have seen a trend where many of our members have opted to use digital channels over the face-to-face services offered in branch.  This issue pre-dated the effect of COVID-19. However, the last year of restrictions has accelerated this change in member behaviour.


Given the decreasing number of members who used the branch, the cost of staffing and maintaining the branch has become unjustifiable. From our review it is clear that it is no longer in the best interest of the majority of Member First Credit Union members to keep this branch open. We have a duty to all members to ensure the future viability of MFCU.  To do that we must deploy our resources so we can invest in the infrastructure and services they want and expect, otherwise we become irrelevant.
